Ugo Ribet is an External Consultant to CLP. He is specialized in environmental policy and provides strategic advice, analysis and training to governments, NGOs and international organizations on forest governance issues, mainly related to the implementation of REDD+ safeguards. Ugo has supported and performed in-country work in Bhutan, Ghana, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Pakistan, Peru and Vietnam. 

Before joining CLP, Ugo worked at ClientEarth as part of the Climate and Forest Programme supporting their work in Latin America. Ugo also gained prior experience in research and capacity building while working on environmental and international security issues for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI).

Ugo holds an M.A. in International Studies and Diplomacy, specialised in Climate Change and Energy Policy from the London School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. He also has a B.A. in European Studies from University College of London (UCL). Ugo is fluent in English, Spanish and French, and is currently based in Paris.
